We are a cash-based wellness office and do not work directly with insurance companies for many reasons. We do not want insurance dictating your care, for they only see value in short-term symptom based sick care. Our practice instead values each and every patient’s healthcare goals, as well as strives to advance true wellness within the El Paso community. Not billing insurance also allows us to provide the highest quality of care and affordable wellness plans. Our care plans are often times less than what you would pay with an insurance co-pay, yet we will gladly provide you with the necessary documentation to get reimbursed if you’re wanting to file yourself.

Yes. It is absolutely safe to adjust infants. The way Dr. Loya and Dr. Santiago adjust infants and babies is completely different from how they adjust adults. The baby gets checked by hand and is then placed in mommy’s lap or on a pediatric pillow, where gentle pressure is applied in areas of concern. Because babies need such little force, when this pressure is applied, it is no different than pressure you can comfortably tolerate by pressing into your closed eye. Most babies find adjustments very relaxing, and many even sleep through the process! It is simple, safe, and effective.

The most physically demanding time of our lives is childhood. Not only is the birthing process stressful, but as babies you are welcomed into an unknown world full of loud noises and bright lights. Newborns should be amongst the first to get checked for nervous system dysfunction induced through labor and delivery. The changes that happen in the first year of life are rapid, in fact 65% of neurological development occurs during this precious first year! Also, keep in mind that babies are unable to communicate verbally, therefore, we must listen to the signs of reflux, colic + excessive crying, difficulty breastfeeding, constipation + gas pains, and restless sleep.
